This has never occurred before with Thunderbird...but now new things are happening. My emails seem to be going to others in my contact list whose names were NOT listed in the original email address line. This has happened several times...without consequence yet, but this can be troublesome for sure! I am not even close to their names on the contact list...these are people I hardly ever send emails to...now I'm getting emails from them telling me they received an email from me. Not good. What can you do to help.

What kind of messages? Spam?

No, not spam...it's just that other people in my contacts are receiving emails NOT intended for them...because their name pops up in the address line...even though I didn't "choose" their name.

Then I'm afraid you'll need to pay more attention when entering the recipients email address.
