I read Netflix no longer requires Silverlight so I completely removed that program from my computer.

Chrome WILL play Netflix just fine (HTML5 Video) but Firefox will just take me to a page asking me to install Silverlight to play movies on Netflix.

Netflix's requirements indicate that Silverlight is still required to access their services using Firefox.

While we're on the topic, I don't suppose anyone knows when Netflix *will* support streaming in a naked Firefox installation?

Well the browser (Mozilla, Netscape, Phoenix, Firebird, Firefox) that started the revolution of going with Standards should of been first. Thanks Scott for the information/resource link.
