I am trying to sync notes on Quickfox using first Xmarks then Mozilla Sync. Both programs delete one or more of the notes randomly, why? It occurs whichever way round I try to sync the machines. The one machine is Puppy Linux 6.0.2 (FF 43.0.4) the other Ubuntu 14.04. (FF 43.0).

Make sure Xmarks sync is disabled when Firefox Sync is connected / enabled; many reports of issues when both are being used at the same time.

Beyond that, my advice is to contact the QuickFox developer. http://firefox.add0n.com/quickfox.html#faq Contact Developer in the header menu on that page.

Many thanks.Disabling Xmarks did the trick. For anyone reading this in the future... You can disable Xmarks by going into 'Open menu' (top right, 3 horizontal bars), then clicking 'Add-ons', then extensions. Click on the disable button and then you will probably be required to restart Firefox.
