Hello I am getting error for all websites i visit , except firefox website. Even google website is showing as not trusted. http://prntscr.com/9rxu97 For most of te other sites, i can get the "i undersand the rsik " option. But its too frustrating to add the exception for all the websites i visit. Was using firefox in my laptop until sunday without any problems, this new installtion is the one facing problems.

I have checked old threads, only thing mentioned is to check for adwares, virus etc. This is a fresh instalaltions of my system, New PC, genuine windows 8.1 , with kaspersky internet security 2016 (Liscensed) . Did a full system scan, didnt find any error. Windows is updated with no new updates possible. Chrome and opera are working fine without any problems. Addons are disabled .

What security software do you have?

There is security software like Avast and Kaspersky and BitDefender and ESET that intercepts secure connections and sends their own certificate or that incorporates special web shielding features that can block content.

If you can't inspect the certificate via "I Understand the Risks" then try this:

Open the "Add Security Exception" window by pasting this chrome URL in the Firefox location/address bar and check the certificate:

  • chrome://pippki/content/exceptionDialog.xul

In the location field of this window type or paste the URL of the website.

  • retrieve the certificate via the "Get certificate" button
  • click the "View..." button to inspect the certificate in the Certificate Viewer

You can inspect details like the issuer and the certificate chain in the Details tab of the Certificate Viewer. Check who is the issuer of the certificate. If necessary then you can attach a screenshot that shows the certificate viewer.

Hello Like i said in my first reply, i am using Kaspersky internet security 2016. And the certificate is being issued by "Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal Root Certificate" I think hats the problem,. How can i rectify it?

go to kaspersky's settings > additional > network. there you could either disable the "scanning of encrypted connections" or look under advanced if there is an option to reinstall their certs there...

Thank you, that resolved the problem, i am no longer receiving that error.
