Firefox randomly keeps crashing for employees

I have a bunch of employees on the first floor of my building that are having constant firefox crashes, that seem to all happen at random, to almost every employee using firefox.

This is the crash ID of one employee from yesterday: bp-c9ad16d2-f1d7-4747-9b95-328b92170201 02/01/2017 3:56 PM

Here is another two from a different employee's computer: bp-7f770ab9-06af-4f2f-8b1d-1bc592170201 02/01/2017 9:10 AM bp-bf149ecf-152a-4000-9acd-eda6f2170201 02/01/2017 7:56 AM

Things that I have tried to stop the crashes from happening are as follows: - Disable the use of hardware acceleration when acceptable - Disabling the use of the flash player in about:config - Refreshing Firefox via the troubleshooter options - I've added the plugin-container disabler into values - I now have one worker using Firefox in Safe Mode to see if the crashes stop, as well as another worker who's Graphics Drivers were just updated to see if that also has anything to do with the crashes.

If anybody can tell me anything from the provided crash reports it would be greatly appreciated!

hi, those are caused by the trend micro extension that is hooking into firefox. please make sure that your security software is fully up to date and if the crashes continue, disable the extension within firefox: Disable or remove Add-ons

Thank you so much for the quick response.

I am currently working on updating the version of Trend Micro on my own computer to see what effects it has before rolling it out on the rest of my employees having this issue downstairs.

Thanks again, if this is the fix I will post back here in a couple days letting everyone know.

Also, how did you figure out that it was exactly related to Trend Micro if i may ask? I looked at the crash reports multiple times but even with the help of Google couldn't make much sense of anything haha

it's the crash signature [tmffext2.dll@0x4ac0] that is giving away the hint - tmffext2.dll is a module that's belonging to the aforementioned addon.

Unfortunately we are not allowed to disable the trend micro extension from within Firefox, as it is a client requirement that is stays enabled for further security reasons.

It also seems that most of my users are on the same version number for TM, and if I update mine on my computer it stays the same version, so I can only assume that is the most recent one?

Not sure what else to try here, I am also on the newest firefox model

please get in contact with trend micro's support about this as well in this case...

Question..

Why is this crash only happening for like half of the employees, when the other half are all using same exact everything and aren't having these crashing issues?
