Turn off your location for Google searches

Hi all,

How do you turn off or block your location from being used while searching in Google-without having to switch to private browsing? I can't seem to find the right setting so Google stops using my exact or close location from my IP address.

Any help is appreciated.

You can't hide your IP address from sites, because they need an address to which to send the response to your request. If you want to appear to be somewhere else in the world, you can look into using a VPN service.

P.S. Private browsing addresses a different issue, which is what browsing data is stored on your computer. It doesn't make you private on the internet.
