An unknown home page is now popping up when I click on the Firefox icon. How can I make it go away. It is not secure.
I have a MACBOOK PRO. Suddently this week, when I click on the Firefox icon on the deck, it comes up as another home page that is not secure and looks odd to me. How can I get rid of it? I have gone to preferences, and listed Firefox as default. It works for about two times and then reverts to the other home page.

Hmm, thank you for sharing your Add-ons list. One or more of these may be the culprit:
- Discrete Search 2.1.19
- Maps 0.2.0
- MyTransitGuide 8.405.12.16952
- Transit 3.1.1 (@Transit)
You can view, disable, and often remove unwanted or unknown extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
- Command+Shift+a (Windows: Ctrl+Shift+a)
- "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
- type or paste about:addons in the address bar and press Enter/Return
In the left column of the Add-ons page, click Extensions. Then cast a critical eye over the list on the right side. Any system extensions that Firefox installs on its own are hidden from this page, so everything listed here is your choice (and your responsibility) to manage. Anything suspicious? If in doubt, disable.
Sometimes a link will appear above a disabled extension to restart Firefox before the change takes effect. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
Any improvement?

Thanks very much. This worked. I actually removed two of the extensions, not sure how they got on there.
