How do I turn on active x controls
My internet connection says active x controls are disabled

Firefox does not support ActiveX, as that was a proprietary technology developed by Microsoft in the 90's. Even Microsoft's new browser, edge, doesn't really support them, as they are basically replaced by HTML5. Only the most ancient and poorly maintained websites continue to use them.
