Hello:

I'm using FF 65.0. Every time I Bookmark a web page, it goes to "Other Bookmarks" by default, how can I stop this and get the web pages to go to regular "Bookmarks"?

I want my regular "Bookmarks" to be the default.

Thank you.

On the page you want to bookmark, do a right-click in an empty area of the page. At the top of the menu, press the Star. Hot key; <Control> (Mac=<Command>) D.

Or, Press the bookmarks Star on the toolbar.

This will place a bookmark in the Unsorted or Other Bookmarks Folder. To edit or move that bookmark, press the Star again.

A window will come up with the name of the page and its web address. You can edit these entries.

Next, select what bookmarks folder you want this bookmark in. If you do not see that folder, go to the far right of the Folder line, and press the down arrow. You can also create a new folder.

Hi, thanks for your reply.

I tried it, but it goes to Other Bookmarks.

In previous FF versions, when I clicked on Bookmarks while on a web page - that web page would go directly into my Bookmarks Menu. How do I make that happen (without having to do half-dozen steps)?

You can thank Mozilla for changing it that way. It's one of the reasons I am still using v54. I click the bookmark icon, the window opens, and stays open while I decide how to save it.

The only reason I install the updates is to insure I get all the security updates in FF.

Try using this extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/default-bookmark-folder/

Thank you.
