Firefox puts a white box on the bottom of the page; above the taskbar, covering input areas. How do I remove? I tried starting in safe mode; didn't help.

I am running Firefox and all of a sudden every web page shows with a white rectangle bar at the bottom, just above the text bar. In many cases, when I scroll down, this white bar blocks the area for reply, comment, etc. I've attached a picture. I'm running Windows 10 17763.678 and Firefox 68.0.2 I've attached a screen shot showing the issue.
