Running version 68.2.0 on a Win 10 computer, have checked Windows Firewall to ensure email is allowed access, and checked my incoming server settings are right. No new software installs. No problems downloading from Verizon to my cell phone, but have not been able to download anything more than another copy of a message from 10/19/19 at 7:15 PM since that time.

Sounds like you have a log jam.

Logon to webmail account via a browser and empty the junk/spam folder.

In Thunderbird click on 'Get Messages'

If still no good In webmail account, read and delete the oldest email that will not download.

In Thunderbird click on 'Get Messages'
