How to fix Sent emails left in Drafts folder.

Version 68.3.1 32-bit.

If I work on a message long enough for "auto save" to occur, once the message is sent, it leaves the last auto saved version in the Drafts folder marked as "Unread". However, the bolding of the Drafts folder (indicated it contains unread messages) does not appear until Thunderbird has been closed, then subsequently re-opened.

This has been happening for a while (since v 64.x, I think). Windows 10 64-bit

Not a gmail account. (Same POP3 account I've had for the last 28 years).

It is also not exactly Bug [1553827]. The emails are always sent.

CHARACTERISTICS: If I complete composing the email and send it before the auto-save period (currently set to 5 minutes), the message does not appear in the "Drafts" folder.

If it takes me longer than the auto-save interval to compose an email, the message will be sent properly, but leaves the last auto-saved version in the "Drafts" folder.

This didn't start happening until about the middle of 2019 if memory serves.
