If you go to options -> login and passwords -> click the 3-dot menu on the top right, and it should ask which browser you want to import from

i see only new and old version of microsoft edge, internet explorer and chrome in menu -> import from another browser -> no other browser

hi kalmurat,

Firefox lets you import bookmarks from other browsers installed on your computer. It also lets you import other data, such as browsing history and saved passwords, from some of these browsers.

refer this link and try to solve it

Hello aki66 Thanks for your help, but there is no yandex in the link you sent and it did not solve my problem

Yandex browser uses the Blink browser engine which is based on the Chromium open source project. So basically the file format used to store passwords / logins data is like what Chrome uses. Seeking out support information for Chrome seems to be the way to proceed to retrieve your data. And then importing that data in to Chrome (or Edge) would be an intermediary step to allowing Firefox to import that data.

See if this helps you: https://www.ghacks.net/2017/07/10/google-chrome-password-export-and-import/
Assuming that the UI in Yandex is similar you should be able to get your passwords data exported to a CSV format file format. There should be a number of Firefox add-ons which could allow that CSV file into Firefox; unfortunately the Mozilla developers haven't seen fit to allow the CSV file format for passwords directly into Firefox. As I mentioned above Firefox will import from other specific web browsers, but not if the data is in a fairly common file format like CSV.

I hope this helps you accomplish your goal. The other way would be to view that data in Yandex and write in down on paper, then manually enter it into Firefox. I just went thru that rigamarole recently when I need to grab my passwords / logins data from a few different web browsers that I have been using for the last few years.

Current Firefox version require the origin key/value pair apart from the hostname in the JSON file with the array of logins.

  • signons = '[{"username":"xxx","password":"xxx","hostname":"https://xxx","origin":"https://xxx"}]
