Pausing and stopping video also stops music playing outside Firefox. If I click pause or end a video within firefox, music playing outside firefox using programs that are not firefox stops. How can this be fixed?

I can confirm that this bug is fixed with the release of Firefox 86 in February 2021.

Is this with a normal player or with a standalone picture in picture player ?
The latter may behave differently.
It happens with a normal player. I have disabled the picture in picture player in about:config
