bold text" Mozilla Thunderbird on my laptop (windows 10) stopped receiving and sending emails from tpg server on 30 October. My other mail account on Thunderbird continues to work normally. TPG mail still works on my phone and on the tpg website. I rang tpg and they helped me set up existing account again but I received error message. My tpg password still works for the tpg site, so seems ok. ralph_cleary2002

What are your settings? They should be mail.tpg.com.au on port 110 (POP) or 143 (IMAP) and port 25 (SMTP); connection security = none, authentication = password, transmitted insecurely, User Name = part of email address before @.

TPG support patiently walked me through the solution largely as indicated in the replies. Thank you everybody for your help, it is much appreciated. I did pass on the Mozilla perpective to TPG that they need to upgrade their TLS setting.
