Firefox Browser won't stay logged in.

I have a Mac and every time I quit Firefox, when I reopen the program all of my bookmarks and passwords are gone and I have to re-login to my Firefox account every time I open the program. Once I re-login all my passwords and bookmarks come back, but I don't want to login to Firefox every time I open the program. Is there anyway I can get it to stay logged in even after I've quit Firefox?

This can indicate that Firefox didn't install fully into the Applications folder, or that Firefox is starting from the DMG file instead of the installed app. Could you review the steps in the following article and see whether you can get Firefox to run from the permanent installations instead of the DMG (temporary environment):
