Can't create a Templates folder in my email account for the MailMerge addon, MM thrashes

I am using IMAP through the Protonmail Bridge. i recently shot myself in my email foot and have been reconstructing my email environment. ARAIK, things had been working with MM, but now they aren't. I would guess that I can't because that's a non-standard base account folder in PM. I would think that I need to one or more things like this: 1 = create the folder up on PM's webmail interface first, if possible, the hopefully it would appear in Tbird in my account folders. 2 = somehow configure MM to use a Local Folders Template folder. There are already two there, a Templates folder and a Templates-sdean7855@protonmail.com. I am trying to use MM in my primary email account, sdean@sdean.net....PM allows one to use a custom domain email account, mine is sdean@sdean.net. Should I create a Local Folder Templates-sdean@sdean.net? How do I ensure that MM uses it?

As things stand, when i try to send using MM, it complains about there being no Templates folder and says it will try to save in Local Folders and thrashes around.

Have attached screenshot of mr PM email account as seen in TB's left folders pael

I would rather not thrash around 'doing things' hoping that something will stick and MM will start working...so i throw myself on the High Poohbahs of Tbird and MM....Help!

right click your account in Thunderbirds folder list, select subscribe and subscribe to proton mails drafts folder. They must have one I am sure. They charge enough to have basics like that sorted anyway.

Ummm. MailMerge wants to see/use/apparently must have a folder called Templates...Drafts won't do...since I guess that MM uses a single copy repeatedly, whereas a Drafts copy is one per email....

Might you please get the author of MM involved or tell me how to contact him (or her). And thank you for what must be a Sisyphean endeavor.....

I suggest you use the links on the addon download page for the addon support email if that is what you need support for. https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/mail-merge/

Personally I think you needs to get rid of proton mail and it's bridge which needlessly complicates email.
