PRIMARY PASSWORD - I never signed up for one but now I cannot receive nor sendmail on Thunnderbird!!
I have two Macs - the MacBook Pro has the chip - and they both use Thunderbird for email. MacBook Pro has suddenly asking for a Primary Password. I never set one up as I use Last Pass. My other computer does not ask for this Primary Password.
HOW CAN I GET RIDE OF THE PRIMARY PASSWORD?
None of the suggestions have worked. HELP!!!

Did you set up openpgp for mail encryption? It enforces using a primary password.
NO! I did not set up openpgp for mail encryption! How could I set up something I knew nothing about.
In fact I have no idea what " openpgp" is. I never set up anything for it. I never set up a 'primary password'. I use LastPass for all of my passwords. In fact, since this primary password has destroyed my use of Thunderbird there is no way I can use anything and no passwords are saved.
Come on Community! Someone must know how I can fix this major problem that has virtually frozen my use of Thunderbird. If the Community cannot help me - will Mozilla help me? Yes? No?
Since you have "done a bunch of things", it would really help us help you if we knew what you had tried.
We can only assume you tried https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/protect-your-thunderbird-passwords-primary-password#w_removing-your-primary-password. I just tested those instructions and they work for me. However, the terminology is not quite correct for version 102. There is no evaluate button, just paste
openDialog("chrome://pippki/content/resetpassword.xhtml")
into the bottom of the error console at >> and then hit enter.
