I see thanks, although i tried to log out but could not find where/how to do this in firefox. One of the devices has all bookmarks are correct but if I log back into the other to sync how do i ensure that i am sync from and to the device I want to?

Mobile bookmarks are kept as a separate category similar to how Desktop bookmarks are a separate category when viewed on mobile devices. To double-check on whether they have sync'd over to your Mac, you could look at either

(1) the sidebar (Command+B) (2) the Bookmarks Menu
