Can you remove the new options buttons in the more tools menu?

Hello, after updating to FF108.0.1, most of the items in my more tools menu now have a new options button on their right.

Is it possible to remove these button so that only the items themselves are listed? As used to be the case in FF107 and earlier.

For keyboard users these new buttons can double the number of arrow / tab presses needed to navigate through the more tools menu. For example, you used to be able to get to the fifth item by pressing the down arrow four times, whereas now you might need up to eight presses to get there, as you will have to get past any new buttons as well.

They are also seemingly unnecessary as they appear to show the same menu as the item itself's context menu. So as a keyboard user I would rather revert back to the old options button-free menu and save on the arrow presses.

Thanks.

Thanks but unfortunately that doesn't help. The article explains how to add or remove items from the Overflow Menu, but not how to remove only the new options button that has beegn attached to a lot of the items.

Is this about the "More tools" menu in the "3-bar" Firefox menu button drop-down list ?

I'm not sure what extra buttons you are referring to.

Can you attach a screenshot?

I think the menu I am referring to is actually called the overflow menu. Although the tooltip says "more tools".

It is the button with two right pointing arrows, and is not the same as "more tools" in the Firefox menu.

Basically It is the drop down menu that items are sent to if you select "Add to Overflow Menu" / "Pin to Overflow Menu" within their context menus.

Sorry for any confusion.

Now if you look in that menu, some items might have a new button on their right hand side, which brings up the same menu as if you open that item's context menu (by, for example right-clicking it).

It is these new buttons that I wish to remove, because as a keyboard user they are increasing the amount of arrow / tab key presses needed to get to items in the list.

I can still send a screenshot if you wish, but hopefully that won't now be neccessary.

P.S. not all items in the Overflow Menu have the new button. In mine it is the buttons for Add-ons that have them.
