Please can you tell me how to stop Firefox opening multiple browser pages as I work. As in, when I go from one email address to another, Firefox just opens page after new page causing a lot of confusion.

Please, can you explain - in an easy way - how to stop this. Sometimes there are more than 10 browser pages open. I have a Dell Inspiron with Windows 11. Thank you for any help.
