Firefox 4 beta (revision 1) crashes on startup with no error message (I have mac os x 10.4.11 PPC (powerpc)). The Firefox icon bounces once on the dock then it disappears.

Again, please note I am running on Mac os x 10.4.11 with a PPC (powerpc) processor.

Is Firefox 4 beta (revision 1) compatible with my OS and Processor?

P.S. Firefox 3.6.7 runs fine on my computer

Thanks for the help, Ben

Firefox 4.0 is removing support for Mac OS X Tiger (10.4.11). However, PowerPC will still be supported on Mac OS X Leopard (10.5.8).

This allows for use of newer APIs like Core Text and allows for gcc-4.2 to be used as the compiler.

It is pity Firefox 4.0 being removed for Mac OS X Tiger. I am using an Intel based OS X Tiger at work. But I am happy with FF 4 at home where I use Snow Leopard :))

It's crashing on me with Snow Leopard on an 09 MBP 17
