I have about 6 tabs opening at the same time everytime I log on. It is bogging down my computer. I need to delete the tabs so they don't come on when I log on. I just need one open.

Are they set as your home pages? Firefox can store multiple home pages and if you have Firefox set to open your home pages on startup you will always get the same tabs. See How to set the home page.

You can set Firefox to open with a blank page, to do that change the setting "When Firefox starts" on the Startup, home page, tabs, and download settings.
