firefox taking up space on my phone after failed install

Admittedly, this started with an error on my part. I didn't notice the space requirement for firefox. I have an N1 (not rooted) and had about 25mb free on internal storage. I know this because last night I uninstalled a few apps from internal memory and checked the storage space at that time. I saw the article about firefox for android and immediately went to the site on my phone and downloaded the .apk and attempted install. After a minute or two the install failed saying there was not enough space to install, also the phones normal low space indicator popped up in the notification bar at this time.

I went and checked and the phone now stated I had only about 8mb free. So it looked like some firefox files must have been installed to my device even though the app wasn't fully installed. I can not find where these files are to remove them.

So I went and uninstalled a bunch of apps I no longer use that are on internal memory, leaving about 35mb of free space according to the phone. I reinstalled firefox and then moved it to the SD card (where, interestingly, it says it only takes up 17mb though it takes up 29mb when on internal memory). This then left me with only 18mb free on internal memory... which makes no sense being that I moved firefox to the SD.

Next I moved firefox back to the phone (leaving me with 2 mb free) then uninstalled firefox hoping it would take ALL the files with it. As of now my phone says I have 20mb free space on internal memory. This SHOULD be around 40 mb free due to all the apps I removed when this issue started.

I need to know a way to find and remove the files firefox may have put in my internal memory. I would love to use the beta, provided it can be run from the SD card.

Does rebooting the phone help with this? Android stores some files in a temporary directory during installation, so rebooting may clear them out.

I did exactly the same thing, tried installing without having a look at the space requirements. After the first failed install the internal memory was down to just a few kb free space. After a reboot approximately 14 MB is freed, but I'm still not back to the original free space I had before the failed install.

Anything else I should do?
