How can I access buttons across bottom of Windows7 screen, like close all windows to see desktop?

Versions of Firefox before 5.0 did not take the full screen of Windows7. I am used to returning to the desk top for other jobs without exiting FireFox. Firefox 5.0 takes the FULL screen and the only way to the desk top is to exit Firefox. DON'T LIKE THIS!

Is it possible the browser is in "full screen" mode? You can use the F11 key to switch between full screen and normal modes.
