why does MP3toolbar keep showing up in Firefox?

I open Firefox & instead of my default search window I get something calling itself 'MP3Tube' instead. I've done a search of my computer an there is NOTHING located on my system so it has to be coming from Firefox. How do I get rid of this - it invariably leads to Xrated and utterly useless sites instead of valid ones. My Internet security blocks 90% of these sites as dangerous! I had it show up in IE but got rid of it, now it's in Firefox. HELP!

try to open add-ons preferences [from menu "tools->add-ons] and you might find the nasty bastard between your extensions...

simply disable it if it's obvious and reboot FF. if it's not obvious disable all the extensions and reboot FF that should do... than you can reactivate them one at the time and reboot each time, with a process of elimination you should be able to detect it.

if even that doesn't work, do the same with plug-ins and themes

good luck!
