I cannot login to facebook or yahoo this morning on Firefox. Why?
I cannot login to facebook as of this morning. I get a message that says: "Secure Connection Failed. An error occurred during a connection to www.facebook.com. Peer's certificate has an invalid signature. (Error code: sec_error_bad_signature)"
Can't login to yahoo either. Message: "Secure Connection Failed. An error occurred during a connection to login.yahoo.com. You have received an invalid certificate. Please contact the server administrator or email correspondent and give them the following information: Your certificate contains the same serial number as another certificate issued by the certificate authority. Please get a new certificate containing a unique serial number. (Error code: sec_error_reused_issuer_and_serial)"
Everything's OK with other browsers: IE and Chrome. This looks bad for Firefox.
What does that "-761" in red below the text box mean? That's such a silly thing!

Which text box had a number in red under it?
One of the text boxes I filled out kept a character count in red below and to the southwest of the textbox. It would have escaped my notice had it not been prefixed with "-".
You can retrieve the certificate and check details like who issued the certificate.
- Click the link at the bottom of the error page: "I Understand the Risks"
Let Firefox retrieve the certificate: "Add Exception" -> "Get Certificate".
- Click the "View..." button to inspect the certificate and check who is the issuer and other details.
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Cor-el,
Thank you for your suggestion. However,
1. There is no link to click on "at the bottom of the error page".
2. I don't know how to "let Firefox retrieve the certificate".

Try to rename the cert8.db file in the Firefox profile folder to cert8.db.old or delete the cert8.db file.
If that helped to solve the problem then you can remove the renamed cert8.db.old file. Otherwise you can rename (or copy) the cert8.db.old file to cert8.db to restore the previous intermediate certificates.
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Open Containing Folder
