Why does "Compare on eBAY" pop up when I search for something?

When I search for anything, one or more windows appear that say "compare XXXXX on eBAY". The XXXX's refer to what ever I have searched for! For example, I just searched for ear wax problem and two boxes popped up saying I should compare ear wax problem on eBAY! I don't want to buy or sell ear wax.

How do I rid my Firefox 3.6.23 of this problem? I don't know if it is a plug in or extension or how I got it.

There's a good chance it is an extension. You can review your extensions and disable any that do not look essential here:
