When I pause a video on any website, the audio keeps playing for a few seconds.

I press the pause button on videos in websites such as youtube and vimeo. The video stops, but the audio keeps going. There is also a similar kind of delay when going in and out of fullscreen.

Not that I know of.

Do you have a lot of tabs open or other tabs that have active content?

Does it happen with only one tab open with a video player?

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

That is probably because there is still audio data in the buffer left. Video needs a lot more data, so that will stop immediately, but compressed audio data may continue to play until the buffer is exhausted or the player checks the button status.

Thanks!!! Completely removing some add-ons I had installed but disabled fixed it!
