The Reload (not refresh) and Stop buttons are combined in the far right end of the Location (address) bar. When you open Customize window they should be located about there where you can then move Reload and Stop elsewhere.
To keep them from combining either place them as Stop the Reload or if you want them as Reload then Stop, place a flexible space in between them.

Press your F5 key to reload the page.
Right-click on your Firefox toolbar and click Customize, then drag the refresh button to the toolbar. If you don't see the button, click Restore Default Set.

Hi James
Thanks I got the reload sorted but how do I put my favourites or bookmarks back on the tool bar, there were no problems before I wish I had just left it alone & not done the download.
You can move your bookmarks from folders to the toolbar. From the Firefox menu:
Bookmarks -> Show All Bookmarks
and drag and drop to your heart's content. You can also do this from the bookmarks sidebar.
To do the same when visiting a page you wish to bookmark, drag the page's icon from the left of the urlbar to the Bookmarks Toolbar, when the Bookmarks Toolbar is showing, or directly to its folder in the sidebar.
The refesh button will appear to the right of your location bar ONLY WHEN THE WHOLE PAGE FINISHES DOWNLOADING. Until then your only choice is to stop the downloading of the page (the x in a red circle when the page is not fully downloaded).
This is a serious design flaw in Firefox which is frequently disliked here. Virtually all other browsers allow you to refresh at any moment. Since many pages pull from different webpages this can be VERY annoying and time consuming.
A lot of people bulldoze their way into a webpage with brute force by hitting refresh until you get enough to use the page (which often doesn't require the whole page to completely download). Firefox is really alienating its base but not permitting that.
