FF 9 browsercomps.dll Problem

Whenever I start FF 9, I get the following in the Error Console:

Failed to load native module at path 'C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\components\browsercomps.dll': (80004003) error 14001

Yaron mentioned on Mozilla-IL that you have some problem accessing the Private Browsing mode. This might be also relevant to this issue as well.

This is a weird edge case on Windows XP systems with a certain runtime library. Developers are working on a fix for 10. In the meantime, I think a Windows update for .NET (something along those lines) will have the updated libraries and fix this problem (you may need to reinstall Firefox after updating windows).

Do you know whether Automatic Update (not Windows update) would solve the problem?
