How do I edit an HTML file?

I created an HTML file to use as a signature block for my outgoing e-mails.

When I exchange several e-mails with a contact, this signature block is added to every reply and I end up with a long series of these signature blocks throughout the string of e-mails. They are really a bit obnoxious and that not the message I want to send. Is there any way to limit it to just the first one?

Thanks, Bill

Some email clients have a setting to automatically insert your signature only for new messages, not replies/forwards. Or perhaps it's easier to always insert it manually, assuming the UI of your mail client makes that easy?

Your signature File is something manged by your email client, or the webhost you visit to get your email, not by Firefox.
