In attempting to address inbox message duplication in Thunderbird (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1453812#answer-1666737), I've been systematically deleting thousands of old emails from my inbox, followed by a folder compacting.

Now, many of the remaining messages are unreadable. Most appear to be blank /empty, while some appear as gibberish text. I've tried repairing the folder using the tool in Folder Properties. That may have made the problem worse.

i was able to see all of the emails for some accounts that no longer have a working login, but now they are all just empty with only 1 fake inbox folder, so where did it all go and how can i get them back? it even finds them via the main ctrl+k search, but dont show any in the inbox folder anymore (there are also no profiles under the hamburger help menu etc... and i probably just copied them into a new folder after renaming the 1st clean installation folder etc...)

Each time I open the program it starts downloading all emails from the beginning, it takes hours and days. Even when it's done it starts again from the beginning. I have used this program for many years, but this problem happened in the last few weeks, it's crazy slow

Thumderbird asked if it could compact folders. Said yes. Now all that shows is the title line for all emails in inbox, but NO content displayed.

Can still see content in emails that are in other folders, seems to be only inbox that will not show content of the emails

Strangely, I can't figure out how to add to someone else's post if it doesn't already have replies so I'm having to start my own thread. Anyway...

Thunderbird on my system is 32-bit on 32-bit Windows and a day or two ago it updated itself to version 115.10.1. Since then it's been slow at sending emails, receiving emails, applying filters and pretty much everything else. Is this being worked on? I saw a couple of similar reports from other people here but like I said, I can't add a reply to them.

And if it's not known about or being worked on, is there some way I can roll back an update?

Not sure if this is Thunderbird or Windows 11. I use to be able to go to a web page in a browser and share it via "Send to Mail" Extension. It would open my default email program and a new email with the URL of the page I'm on already in the message area of the new email. It is not working now, likely since I upgraded to Win 11.I've been to the Default Apps settings and set all mail extensions to Thunderbird and the problem remains. It doesn't matter what browser I use, I've tried 3 different ones. My default browser is Firefox and it is up to date. I've tried other Mail To extensions in all the browsers and none work. When I try to do this, I see a message that says opening Default Mail Handler, then nothing happens, nothing opens. All I can do is copy the URL of the page I want to send and paste it into a new email I've opened by manually opening Thunderbird.

Suggestion are appreciated.

hibid.com will not open in Firefox but will open on Edge. I am not using private browser mode. I have manually typed in the username and password / I have closed the window and tried again.

Thunderbird no longer sends emails from my standard account. Receiving continues to work without any problems. The provider is Vodafone with the .kabelmail.de address Screenshots show the settings. Otherwise these always worked. I've already set the TLS version to 1 in Thunderbird, without success.

The error message can be seen in German on the other screenshot and means in English:

"Failed to send message. Error sending message. The mail server responded: spam id=155817::1723829084-40E2144E-91888C35/29/1527808. Please check the message and try again."

Hello, quite for a long time I observe the same bag that you have in your application. The problem is with downloading a PDF from a supplier. The PDF is not recognised and it is said as an unknown file and also the file does not weigh any kilobytes or different - it’s always zero. So first issue is that the PDF is not recognised as PDF and even though when I try to save download file to files app on iPhone and I add shortcut “.pdf” still it weighs 0 kB.

Our website is currently experiencing issues when accessed through the Firefox browser. Users are reporting that the website fails to load or displays a blank page when trying to open it. This problem seems to be isolated to Firefox, as the site functions correctly on other browsers such as Chrome, Edge, and Safari.

I keep getting a browser error message on a site that I use almost daily. I have cleared cookies and cache and run the troubleshooter but still get the same message. Thanks.

Suddenly i can´t add a new folder, or supfolder, nothing happens. I can´t even rename a folder. I have the latest uppdate of Thunderbird. Have restartet the laptop as well as Thunderbird several times. This was not any problem a couple of days ago. Have done that several times before

Create sub-folders, or delete a folder, or see properties.

If I right click nothing happens, although it allows me to re-name, move, or see settings.??

Hi, I can get the bank website page but it won't let me log in. I have tried all the usual emptying cookies etc. and refreshing Firefox and running Microsoft troubleshooter. This is with Firefox on Windows 11. But I have tried it with Firefox on my Linux computer (Ubuntu) and it doesn't work on that either. Both say the container.do file is empty. Thanks

Hello, whenever I try to type into a text box the "manage passwords box" appears, which is fine with me, but with this website...there is a drop down menu, which then makes the password box completely cover it, and I've been trying to find a work around, but nothing work, I want to save my passwords, the feature is great, the password box is fine with me in other websites, is there like a button to press to remove the password autofill box when I don't need it, or simply just remove the autofill suggestions, because the fact it keeps covering the drop down menu is becoming annoying.

It's been a while since this problem first occurred but I am now very sure that this is about Firefox and not about graphics driver. This happens both when the hardware acceleration is turned on and turned off.

When I open a website that has mainly images or videos, the browser goes blitz (Reddit, Twitch, etc.). Screen splits to multiple views, it starts flickering and continues until I switch to another tab or quit Firefox. For flickering to stop, I need to restart the computer. I can also send a video if you can communicate a proper way of sharing. (Drive link, youtube, etc.)

Is there any way I can ensure Firefox does not break things on my computer?

I have an Outlook email account with multiple aliases. If I send an email from the default outlook account, all is well. However, if I try and send an email from one of the aliases I get the following error.

"Sending of the message failed. Unable to authenticate to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.office365.com. Please check the password and verify the 'Authentication method' in 'Account Settings | Outgoing server (SMTP)'."

Setting on the alias accocunts are the same as the default.

Sending an email from the alias accounts in Win 10 mail works.

Please advise.

How to copy inbox content so I can paste it into an inbox on a new machine. It looks like the AV has deleted the entire contents of the new machine inbox. Old machine is a mac running Thunderbird 78.14.0 on El Capitan. The new machine is Mac running Sonoma 14.6.1 with Thunderbird 115.14. Thanks, Richard

Probably from the day Thunderbird automatically upgraded to 128 version, I am having problem reading some of my mails. I click on them and I get a white window, no content at all. I tried to go back to version 115, but I haven't found the link to download version 115 from the official site https://www.thunderbird.net/ . Can you please help to go roll back to previous version?
