Your excellent tutorial says nothing about exactly which version of GPG to install - full, light, or vanilla?

When I go to the link for GPG (ie - Gpg4win), I am given several options for download. I can install the full version (30mb) which comes with Kleopatra and Compendium, the light version which does not include Kleopatra and Compendium, or I can simply install the vanilla version which contains only Gpg4win with GnuPG component only. So which version should I install for purposes of using with Thunderbird? I am inclined to download the vanilla version and then download Enigma to use with Thunderbird, but I'm not sure.

I am pretty sure the vanilla version will suit you. I can't be sure since it's a good long while since I last installed it in Windows (which I don't have here with me), and here on Linux the gpg component is all bundled in as standard.

AFAIK, you don't need Kleopatra, and I haven't heard of, so presumaby never used, Compendium.

Ya, that's what I was thinking as well. I'll go ahead and download/install the vanilla version and see how it goes. I'll follow-up on this post to let everyone know for future reference. Thanks!

Follow-update. It looks like the vanilla version of Gpg4win worked fine when coupled with Enigmail add on to Thunderbird. Very happy now to peruse through the steps and capabilities of this very capable encryption/decryption software within Thunderbird.
