hi. here is the story, Please read carefully.

Earlier i was downloading a 3.7 GB file in Mozilla. The file was .ISO format Around 2 GB of file was downloaded. But unfortunately i refreshed the Firefox then it restarted and i see an "Old Firefox Data" folder in my desktop

That download is now restarted from 0MB again :) :) :) The total size of that folder "Old Firefox Data" is 25.6 MB which means that the incomplete download file (around 2GB) is not in that folder.

Please tell me how to find partially downloaded file and resume download from that partially downloaded file.

The .part file is likely not in the "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop and probably wasn't in the cache, but either in the OS %temp% folder or in the final destination folder. If you've already tried to download this file again then the .part file might have been overwritten, especially if you saved the file to the same location. It if usually better to use an external download manager to download large fis that take more than 30 minutes to avoid issues with resuming an interrupted download.

The normal procedure for cases like this where you want to resume an interrupted download is as follows:

Make sure to backup the .part file and the final file without the .part before starting Firefox. Try these steps to resume an unfinished download when you still have the .part file.

  1. Move the old .part partial download and the final file without the .part that has size 0 to another location.
  2. Start a new download and pause it, don't close Firefox.
  3. Copy the two files (.part and 0 byte final) that you moved above back to the download location to replace the new files that were created.
  4. Resume the download in Firefox.
