Every time FF updated itself it breaks something. I have no access to my addons and I cannot bring them back. I have been trying so hard to stick to FF but I have just been getting disappointed. How can I downgrade this browser so my addons will work properly? I don't need the latest security patches or whatever if my browser will become useless.

Hi Sader, what add-ons are not working in Firefox 42? We can suggest approaches to resolving the issue and let you know if, based on other threads, it's a problem with Firefox 42 vs. earlier versions.

If you need to extract a list of your currently installed extensions, you can copy/paste the list including the version numbers from the support information page. Either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
  • (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
  • type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter

Scroll down to the Extensions heading, use the mouse to select from there through the table that follows and copy, and then paste into a reply. It will look a little messy, but don't worry, we're used to it.

If you know you have extensions installed but the list is blank, please see the solution in this thread: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1092403#answer-802311
