Some times I need the menu bar for a couple minutes and instead of constantly checking and unchecking the menu bar in customize, I press 'ALT', the only problem is the menu bar closes after one click, is there someway to have the 'ALT' key permanently toggle the menu bar, not just temporarily show it?

Hi

If you press Alt to display the menu bar, then go to View, Toolbars, then select Menu Bar, the menu bar will be displayed without you needed to press Alt.

I hope this helps, but if not, please come back here and we can look into a different solution for you.

I do know how to activate the menu bar, my question is, is there a way for the "ALT" key shortcut command to be turned into a toggle, instead of a momentary.

I found "ui.key.menuAccessKey" & "ui.key.menuAccessKeyFocuses" in about:config, I just don't know what/if I can add a line of code to make it toggle menu bar on and off.

Thanks.

If you would use the keyboard then you can easily bring up the menu bar.

You can try the "Toggle menu bar" button that this website offers:
