If you use Cut & Paste or drag bookmarks and folders in a different order then you should keep this order. If the order changes to a previously used sort order then this seems to indicate that there has been a problem with the places.sqlite database and on older backup got restored automatically.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database (bookmarks and history) in the Firefox profile folder.

• use "Verify Integrity" on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page

Stab in the dark : Would it work for you if you did this : Click on the bookmark icon next to the star, then at the bottom click on 'Show All Bookmarks' - that will take you to the Library. In the Library, upper left corner, click on 'Views' => 'Sort'

Or isn't this what you want at all  ?

i mean happy if i reinstall firefox to appear bookmarks with the latest order.aslo except xmark do you know any good addon for sync bookmarks?or a standalone program?

You may have to contact the developer(s) - oh yeay, here it is again : http://nimbusweb.co/ and ask them to migrate the add-on to Webextensions .......

I found some others, but they haven't been updated, and won't work with Firefox 57+ .......

Any specific reason why you don't want to use Xmarks Sync  ? At least it's compatible with Firefox 57+ ......

I just read the reviews (should have done that before I asked you - sorry  !), the developer(s) will hopefully take them to heart  !

In the mean time : back to EverSync and contact Nimbus about updating and migrating to Webextensions  ?

(That might solve the Everhelp problem as well ..... you need to contact Nimbus about that too)
