I have loaded add ons for FF57 but although they show in the add-ons page they don't show on the tool bar. You can drag them from Customise tool bar but then all that shows is a space (with a label if you hover over it) but clicking on it achieves nothing. This can be seen in the attached jpg where I'm hovering over Last Pass, but can't access it. I have uninstalled, and reinstalled, I have removed every mention of Mozilla and Firefox from my Registry, but to no avail. Wondering whether to write 57 off as a bad job and revert to an older version - one that worked.

uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 57.0.3 with a Full Version Installer
