Suggest you grab a copy of your bookmarks from this one and the one you sync to : *https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/export-firefox-bookmarks-to-backup-or-transfer You can open about:sync-log via the location bar to see if there are recent error logs available. You can upload a recent log if the log is too big to put in a reply. *https://pastebin.mozilla.org/ Suggest un-syncing all devices so this does not carry through to another device. You mention "pulling in other old bookmarks" is this from another device you have sync'd ?
