I'm running T'bird 52.9.1 on MacOS X 10.14 (Mojave) on a recent MacBook Pro. When I try to print a message, T'bird freezes when I try to change the file name/location or when I select PDF or when I select a range of pages. I have restarted T'bird and also restarted my machine, but the problem remains. The file is HTML and relatively small. Any thoughts?

Please try version 60 from https://getthunderbird.com (it gets to the official site)

Version 60 works fine; thanks for your help. But I am left wondering why Thunderbird didn't automatically update my installed version 52 to the newer version in the same way that Firefox automatically updates.

I agree - very strange that automatic update did not move my version from 52.9.x to 60.x - I checked and the preference setting is to apply automatic updates. Is this a small bug as well?

We are not yet serving the update - which is why I provided the DL site.
