When I try and attach a scanned document to a email reply, I keep getting the message "no program is assigned to receive that command" or something to that effect. Basically, when I try and do that procedure, send a attach in a email, it won't go through. And, I'm asked to assign a program to do so. I thought my computer is aware Yahoo is my email client and therefore set up to receive those commands? But, apparently not? Bottom line, how do I get my browser and computer to accept a attachment I am trying to send back as a reply to a email I have gotten? Thank you.

Yahoo is a webmail client (meaning it's just a website). Windows looks for a mail client (something like Thunderbird), which is a program installed on your computer and linked to your email provider.

Windows does not easily allow you to set Firefox (or any other internet browser) as your mail client because it's not looking for an internet browser.

You will need to use the upload/attach button on the Yahoo email website when creating a new message and attach a file that way.

Hi Wesley, Thank you for your reply. So, I have to install Thunderbird, the email client to use with my Yahoo email services? Not sure how to do that, but I suspect I might be able to figure it out. I understand now, that the error message I was getting, evidently from Windows, was referring to a email program, like Thunderbird and not a web site. I sort of thought just having Yahoo listed as my email client, which I use all the time, and I thought was listed as my email client with Windows would suffice. Now I know what that message was referring to and why I got confused trying to figure out how to cure the problem. Thanks, Wesley.
