I see many distracting pop up messages from Thunderbird indicating "Failed to connect to server" when I momentarily lose wifi or when the server is overloaded or just not working for some reason. I don't really care about that. I just want Thunderbird to check messages once a while (10 minutes) to have them ready when I want to check them between other tasks. I have disabled notifications for new messages. I have even disabled notifications from Thunderbird at the operating system level (Linux/Gnome). Isn't it possible to tell Thunderbird to please keep quiet! Thank you.
