In Gmail running with Windows 10, when I click on a video (e.g., mp4) attachment in an email, I get the “Couldn’t preview file, etc” screen: See image "Capture1"

Then when I click on “Download” I get the following dialog box, below, and go from there: See image Capture 2.

The problem is a friend of mine decided to check the bottom “Do this automatically, etc.” box and since then this dialog box no longer appears. Now he decided he does want the choices, but neither of us has found the way to restore the dialog box. Can you help?

Yes, there's a list of actions for different types of downloads on the Options / Preferences page. Check out the steps in this article and see whether you can figure out which one Firefox is used for MP4 downloads, and switch it to Always Ask:
