I use Yahoo mail within Firefox. Just recently it has changed so that if I select the download option, to download any attachment to an email, it will either open (if say a PDF) or ask me where I want to save the attachment, but then the tab the Yahoo mail is open in will close once the attachment has opened/saved. Before, I could download/open/save or whatever and the Yahoo mail tab would remain open (as I would expect it to).

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Confirmed. I have same problem. Win 10 21H2 Firefox 104.0.2 Yahoo window randomly closes after downloading files, usually pdf's. Have tried Foxit, Adobe Reader and Firefox pdf reader, no change. There is no problem reopening the closed window, but it is a nuisance. Don't know which SETTINGs I might change to avoid this. It ONLY happens with the Yahoo window. It seems only to happen connected with downloads. I can't correlate the closing with anything I am doing...random after download.
