Since the update the 3.6.4, and updating all plug-ins, I have constant and seemingly random crashes of Firefox with non-descript DEP error as the reason. Crashes have occurred doing a Google.ca search, watching a video of Youtube, using my university's student services website, and many browsing many others. The crashes occur approximately 15 times an hour, not evenly spaced. Crashes twice trying to submit this report.

Again and again and again and again and .......

I started it up in Safe Mode and it will not crash when I open Flash content, so I think it has something to do with one of my add ons, but I don't know which one yet.

Try to open in Safe Mode and see if it does not crash. Then troubleshoot by enabling each add on - one by one and going to the page that crashes to see if the problem persists.

Same problem here. Since the 3.6.4 update, it constantly crashes. Updating all the add-ons did not help. So I tried removing all the add-ons, that didn't help either. It becomes unresponsive nearly every page I go to, especially when I try to type in a box or form.

Exact same problem here. Very, very frustrating.

It works...try it. It's a universal issue since the update. Cheers

It's not a problem with Flash. I don't get the Flash Plugin crash message. It crashes the Firefox process.

Crashed 5 times already today in one hour. Different sites, sometimes just clicking a link crashed it. Thought it may have been too many tabs, but even happened with just 3 open.

I have XP Home Edition, numerous add-ons like CoolIris, Coolpreviews.

When I got 3.6.3 Firefox, the crashes started. Seemed to associate more with some websites than others.

Now that I have 3.6.4, the crashes are three out of four times that I attempt to open Firefox, even just with the basic welcome screen with the Google searchbox.

Is anybody working on this? Are there any proven fixes? Last time I searched I found a lot of speculation and "try this", but I haven't located an authoritative white paper on the problem from Mozilla.

Call me a quitter, but I went back to 3.63. I couldn't work with constant crashing during my workflows.

If you need to do the same... get an older version here.

Looks like 3.6.6 is out now, I installed it and have had no issues so far.
