The extension Favicon Picker 2 isn't compatible with 6.0.2 - where are favicons held in the latest version of Firefox (so I can figure out how best to get them to refresh)?

I updated the favicon associated with my WordPress blog, but Firefox still shows the old one. There's lots of information on Google about how to get Firefox to refresh favicons. Some people think they're cached, some think they're held in a Sqlite database. The best solution was to use an extension called Favicon Picker 2, but this isn't compatible with Firefox 6.0.2. I would simply like to know how/where Firefox handles favicons so I can figure out how to go about getting them to refresh. Of course, if you know how to do this, so much the better:-) Thanks for any help you can give.
