Since updating/upgrading to Firefox v7.01 the Google Search is not working properly with Firefox. Whenever I do a search with Google .. for example "FIREFOX" .. the next window/page that tries to open is the search results. However, happens is that instead of displaying the Google search results for FIREFOX a second window/page is opened where the last window/page is displayed. In order to view the search results I have to go back one page manually .. either by ALT-LEFT ARROW or using the "Go back one page" arrow. Also, when I attempt to go back to the "home page", it doesn't work. I have to manually navigate back to the home page. This is only happening with Firefox and Google. If I use Yahoo Search with Firefox or use IE8 with Firefox+Google .. not problems .. works ok. So, I don't know if the problem is with Firefox or if there is something with Google causing this problem. I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing this "pain in the posterior".

Follow-up to my post just in case anyone is actually reading this stuff. (Sheeeeeeesh) Since my last post I have determined what I suspect to be the problem to this incident. I had been using a URL for the Google Search page of http://www.google.com/webhp?safe=off&complete=0. The "safe=off" refers to disabling the "safe search" feature without having to always sign-on. And, the "complete=0" (zero) is to disable the auto-complete feature without having to sign-on. What is happening is that, while using the URL and doing a Google search for whatever, the results was the the search results page would try to display but immediately the previous page would also display. I would have to go back one page in order to see the Google Search results. This is only happening with Firefox v7.0.1. There is no problem using this URL on IE8. Firefox 7.0.1 and Google Search are not "playing nice" together!! So, for now, I have modified the URL dropping the "complete=0" until most likely Mozilla gets their act together.

It works correctly for me -- but you have many add-ons I don't have.

Wa2011f --- If I remove the "complete=0" my Firefox is working ok. I don't believe this problem is in any way related to the extensions or plugins. For some reason Firefox and the Google Search page ... using the URL http://www.google.com/webhp?safe=off&complete=0 just isn't working right for me. I can live with auto-complete function active but I honestly do not like it. Anyway, thanks for the response.
