We're sorry to hear that your Firefox seems to be crashing. Please perform the following steps to give us a crash report ID that helps us find out more about the cause of the crash.

  1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox location bar (that's where you enter your website names) and press Enter. You should now see a list of submitted crash reports.
  2. Copy the most recent 5 report IDs that you see in the crash report window and paste them into your forum response.

Thanks in advance for your help!

More information and further troubleshooting steps can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly) article.

hello, the flash plugin seems to be involved in these hangs - could you tell us which security related programs (av, firewalls, etc...) are running on your computer?

if you can't solve the issue otherwise you might also want to try downgrading to flash 10.3, which is still supported.

Thanks for the reply. I have McAfee installed.

Forgot to mention that I have uninstall and reinstall Flash. The one that I have now is 11.5.502.110.

The interesting thing is when I restart Forefox in safe mode, it still does the same thing though...

ok, thinking about the issue again, the hanging flash-process might be just be a byproduct but not a cause of the issue (since it shouldn't be involved when you download anything via the firefox context menu...

please try all the trobleshooting steps listed at http://kb.mozillazine.org/Firefox_hangs#Hang_downloading_files

Have already tried whatever is suggested in the troubleshooting steps but it does not solve the issue at all. Interesting thing is the uploading problem does not occur when using yahoo mail but happens with gmail. However, the "save link as" issue happens with all types of files or links.

So far I have checked the forum with similar issues but most suggested it's a FLASH plug-in problem but does not seems to solve anything....

Could anyone help? Thanks in advance?!
