how to Sort search engines in fireFox 34.0?
Hello, Today I noticed the new Update of Firefox, specially in the Search Bar, I used to change between search engines using crt+down or crl+up, But now I only type what I want to search and use the up and down keys to select the search engine, but I want to change the order of the search engines, because youtube is the second in my list, but now it is the last one I can access using the Arrows.
I only found the option to hide other search engines, but not one to sort them.
Thanks

I still see them in the order in which they appear as set via the old search engine manager window.
You can open search engines manager with this chrome URI in a tab to change the order:
- chrome://browser/content/search/engineManager.xul

Sorry, but I don't think it is possible to rearrange the search engines with the new search bar scheme. They appear to be in alpha order and I don't see any way to move them. I just reverted to the old scheme.
Open up about:config (typed in the Location Bar) and toggle this preference to false browser.search.showOneOffButtons Then restart Firefox.

In the address bar, type about:preferences#search<enter>
If you miss being able to switch search engines without going crazy with menus, try this out;
Context Search {web link} Expands the context menu's 'Search for' item into a list of installed search engines, allowing you to choose the engine you want to use for each search.
Thank you, yes... this solved the problem, this opens the old "Search Engines" Window and I can Sort them there.... I hope in an early update Firefox adds a Button to open that window. :)
